I can honestly say that my knowledge of what constitutes a beer as a "Belgium" was minimal, but Glenn our Brewmaster and tour guide for the evening, broke it down in terms we members could understand, visualize and taste.
We had the pleasure of starting with their Abbey Road, a Belgian Style Golden Wit with notes of Coriander and Orange.
Next was the Refugee Tripel with a beautiful pronounced yeast aroma and finally we tasted my personal favorite, the Illusion IPA which is a spin on a West Coast IPA. You can smell the Belgium yeast right off, and the Illusion IPA also has the highest IBU's (International Bittering Units) Belgium pine, citrus, cascade hops, plus others to be a mystery, this is a crowd favorite. Don't just take my word for it. Head down to Refuge and taste for yourself.
